The Leaders in Patient Empowerment (LPE) Program is a flagship initiative of the Patients for Patient Safety Foundation (PFPSF) — a nonprofit movement committed to advancing safer, more inclusive, and patient-centered healthcare.
To reduce avoidable harm, foster meaningful communication, and ensure that patients and their families are informed, involved, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
Each year, patients often encounter difficulties in navigating the system — not because of intent, but due to unintentional gaps in awareness, understanding, or access to the right information. The LPE Program seeks to close these gaps by equipping hospitals with patient-facing resources that are clear, culturally relevant, and available in multiple Indian languages and formats — including posters, QR codes, infographics, videos, and audio content.
Hospitals enrolled in the Leaders in Patient Empowerment (LPE) Program are already leading the shift toward safer, more patient-centered care.
This program fosters a shared responsibility — where patients, families, and care teams work together toward better outcomes and experiences.
Participation is free, collaborative, and impact-driven. If your hospital or team believes in strengthening the patient-provider partnership, the LPE Program welcomes you to be part of this movement.
